Georgia Tech – Earthquake load Research Project

As part of a study that GA Tech is doing for the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulations (NEES), Precision donated the labor force to construct a full scale mock-up of a 2 level reinforced concrete frame structure at the Ga. Tech Civil Engineering Structures Lab. Precision worked with Turner Construction, Winter Construction and various other local suppliers and subcontractors to help make this study possible. GA Tech is using this structure to perform load tests to determine how existing concrete frame buildings can be retrofitted to resist earthquake loads.

The Place of Forsyth - Holiday House

During the holidays we like to spread joy and Christmas spirit by taking a step back and helping those less fortunate than us. We will once again be donating to The Place of Forsyth - Holiday House. It is a nonprofit social service organization that helps struggling parents make Christmas wishes come true. All parents go through a strict application and qualification process. They ask for donations for children ages 0 to 18.

All donations must be new with the exception of gently used bicycles. Financial contributions are also accepted. I have attached a list of ideas provided By the Place of Forsyth.

All donations can be dropped off by our Main Reception Christmas tree. Monetary donations should be dropped off in HR.

Please make sure to have your Donations in by Monday December 11!
