Hyundai Engineering of America

Hyundai Engineering of America has awarded the concrete work for the new Hyundai Plant Assembly building to Precision. Concrete work consists of pile caps, foundation walls and a large number of pits and trenches for the assembly line. The building is over 1 million square feet and is located in Ellabell, GA

Montgomery Hyundai Campus

Precision was recently awarded a foundation package for the new Mobis building at the existing Hyundai campus in Montgomery. This will be the 5 th project Precision has performed for Hyundai Engineering of America (HEA). The project consists of drilled piers, grade beams and foundation walls for a 400,000 SF building. Precision will be partnering with Russo Corporation for the drilled per installation.

BRYKS Upper West Side

Precision was recently awarded the BRYKS - Upper West Side project with Newsouth Construction. The project is located between Marietta Blvd and Chattahoochee Ave in Atlanta. The multifamily project will consist of 576 residential units, 19,000 SF of retail space and two parking decks. The concrete work includes over 300,000 SF of slabs, 38,000 SF of walls and 6,000 CY of foundations. Precision is looking forward to another successful project with Newsouth Construction.

WCC Transportation Center

Precision is happy to announce we are completing work on the Georgia World Congress Center Transportation Depot. This project was built directly on top of a 25 year old precast structure that is located between State Farm Arena, Mercedes Benz Stadium. Over 43,000 pieces of rebar were drilled into the existing structure to connect a 73,000 SF strengthening slab & driving surface for public transportation vehicles. 93,000 cubic feet of structural styrofoam was used to support the strengthening slab, paving, and new black beauty textured sidewalks. We worked with our partners at Holder Construction to deliver this project a full month ahead of the contract turnover date.

McLemore Hilton

Precision Concrete recently started construction on the McLemore Hilton project located on Lookout Mountain in Rising Fawn, GA. This unique project involves constructing a luxurious resort hotel located on a mountain ridgeline to provide expansive views in all directions with jobsite access through an active golf course.

Boys & Girls Club

Precision Concrete recently completed the concrete scope for the Boys & Girls Club Headquarter and Hub Buildings in Augusta, GA. With the help of non-profit organizations, the Boys & Girls Club will revitalize the Augusta community for years to come. The 16,000 square feet HQ building will include classrooms, community space, and offices.

The Hub building located on the western side of the Chafee Avenue will include 33,500 square feet of space for tenants and will serve as “A Center for Community Innovation”.

Precision’s scope included building foundations and slabs for the two-story buildings. Concrete scope took place from September 2021 to December 2021. With the aggressive construction schedule, Precision was able to meet the deadlines while overcoming material shortage and complete the job safely.

WCC Transportation Center

Precision was recently awarded the Georgia World Congress Center Transportation Depot project in downtown Atlanta.  The project is located immediately adjacent to State Farm Arena and the Georgia World Congress Center.  Precision will be working with Holder Construction to upgrade the existing structure to allow for bus loading.  New concrete beams and a 60,000 SF structural slab will be cast on top of the existing structure which spans over an operational CSX rail line.  The project will require over 30,000 rebar dowels to be installed into the existing structure.  Once complete the depot will provide spaces for 10 buses at a time.  The transportation depot will relieve congestion along the Marietta Street corridor and improve traffic conditions by creating access and egress from the south end of the site reached via Centennial Olympic Park Drive.

"Precision received first place in ACI’s Low Rise Category for our amazing work on the Mercedes-Benz USA Headquarters.
In October of 2016, construction broke ground for the new US headquarters for Mercedes-Benz in Sandy Springs, GA. This 200,000 sf facility houses nearly 1,000 Mercedes-Benz employees and is part of a larger development at the intersection of GA-400 and Abernathy Rd. The building consists of north and south “work bars” that are each 3 stories tall and contain open air offices and work spaces for the North American sales and marketing staff. The project also has many unique features such as a roof top bar, restaurant-quality café, coffee bar, and a 500-car parking deck..."

Eastern Wharf – River Works Press Release

"Precision has been awarded the Eastern Wharf – River Works project, located in downtown Savannah, by Choate Construction. Formerly known as Savannah River Landing, this first phase of the Eastern Wharf project includes a 700-space city garage, more than 300 apartment units, 400 privately owned parking spaces, and 30,000 square feet of retail space. The 140,000 square foot footprint will hold four floors of cast-in-place concrete podium/parking structure along with an additional three floors of lumber framing, and a six-story precast parking structure. The project is scheduled to start in November 2018."

WCU Stem Facility Press Release

"WCU STEM: Skanska USA has recently awarded Precision Concrete the Western Carolina University STEM facility at the Cullowhee, NC campus. The new building will provide approximately 185,000 square feet of lab and classroom space. Precision’s scope includes structural foundations, basement walls, and slabs for the six-story metal frame building along with vertical elements of the hardscape. Concrete is scheduled to start in October 2018."

Lennar Rio Bravo Press Release

"Lennar Rio Bravo: Hoar Construction recently selected Precision Concrete for the Lennar Rio Bravo project in Atlanta, GA. This 21-story luxury high-rise apartment building will occupy the former Rio Bravo site in Buckhead. The 290-unit tower features below-grade parking, ground level retail, and rooftop amenity deck with pool. Construction is officially underway with Precision starting foundations in September 2018."

"Project Café" Press Release

"O’Neal Constructors of Greenville, SC recently awarded the concrete foundation work for a new $600 million carbon fiber production facility to Precision Concrete.  The new facility, code named “Project Café”, is located on 454 acres in Greenwood, SC.  The carbon fibers produced at the plant will ultimately be used in automotive and aircraft manufacturing.  The initial package consists of foundations for the main manufacturing building, a warehouse and pipe racks."

630 Indian Street Press Release

"Freese Johnson has awarded 630 Indian Street to Precision Concrete. 630 Indian Street is a mixed-use property with 275+ units of multi-family rental apartments, 5,000 square feet of retail, and over 9,000 square feet of amenity space situated above a 3-level, partially below-grade parking garage. Located in Savannah’s Indian Street district, steps away from the Savanah River Walk and the high-end boutiques and national retailers of Broughton Street, 630 Indian Street offers unique downtown living and access to it all. Precision’s scope includes 200,000 SF of parking, live/work units, retail, and podium structure. The project is scheduled to start in early fall of 2018.

GA World Congress Center Press Release

Holder Construction Company has awarded the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) expansion project to Precision.

Precision Concrete Construction has been awarded the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) expansion project by Holder Construction Company. The project, located in the heart of Atlanta, will consist of building an exhibition facility that bridges the unoccupied alleyway between existing Exhibit Halls B and C. The expansion will add an additional 100,000 SF of exhibition space and result in a contiguous exhibition facility in excess of 1,100,000 SF. Project is scheduled to start in late summer of 2018.

Kronospan Particle Board Plant

Kronospan LLC has selected Precision Concrete Construction, Inc. to perform the concrete work for a new Particle Board plant in Eastaboga, Alabama. The project will be constructed adjacent to Kronospan's existing hard flooring plant. Precision will handle the concrete work for the woodyard, exterior process foundations, board press pit and a 300,000+ sqft warehouse. A fast-track delivery method will be utilized to assist the owner in completing the project in a more timely manner. Construction is scheduled to start towards the middle of June 2018.

Camperdown Mixed-Use Apartment Complex Approved

Brasfield and Gorrie has selected Precision Concrete Construction, Inc. to construct the concrete frame for a new 11-story, 270,000 SF apartment building in Greenville, South Carolina.  The project will be located in downtown at the Camperdown mixed-use development.  The structure will sit atop the parking garage and fitness center building previously completed by Precision.  The Camperdown development will eventually grow to include 80,000 SF of retail space, two office buildings and a 140-room AC Hotel.  Construction is scheduled to start towards the end of June 2018.

Bellwood Quarry

"What’s long been promised as Atlanta’s largest park is coming to fruition, claiming a site that’s majestic for both its preserved, urban greenery and colossal, man-made scars.

In the waning days of 2017, the Westside Park at Bellwood Quarry made news when city officials released the most detailed renderings to date of what the transformative project (100 acres larger than Piedmont Park, eventually) will look like.

In 2016, the city’s aptly named Driller Mike began a $300 million tunnel-boring mission between the Chattahoochee River and Hemphill Water Treatment Plant that links to the quarry. Meanwhile, a $26 million Phase 1 initiative is underway to make the reservoir’s surroundings into public-accessible green space..."
